About me...
So, who's Mathesh? Well, I am a Graduate Student at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where I spend my time immersed in Distributed Systems. It's a pretty exciting area, and with a few solid years of industry experience under my belt, I love building reliable systems that actually scale (and don't break at 2 AM). Like a good chunk of the Asian population, I have found my passion firmly rooted in tech. If there's a turning point in my journey, it wasn't a grand success, but rather the sting of failing the Smart India Hackathon finals. That experience lit a fire: my friend and I decided to channel that energy into founding the Quasar Community. What started as a platform for freelance projects organically grew into something much bigger – coaching students, developing open-source projects, and more. This wasn't just a "big thing" in terms of scale, but it was the transformative experience for me. I dove headfirst into learning countless tech skills on my own, honed my interpersonal skills by collaborating with various clients and managing diverse teams, and ultimately, it gave me the confidence to be the Mathesh I am today.
When I am not chasing down bugs or sketching out new system architectures, you'll probably find me behind a camera lens and yes, you can expect to see all the impressive photos I think are worth sharing right here on my site! I'm also a huge fan of watching a good game of football (Mia San Mia !), or exploring new cities one spontaneous trip at a time. Also I am quite keen on blogging, I maintain a technical blog through the Quasar Community, sharing insights and tutorials, and I am also excited to be starting a new personal blog dedicated to my personal life adventures and travel experiences as I navigate this exciting new chapter.
